The Rehmat Card is a financial assistance program launched by the Government of Punjab under the Zakat and Ushr Department. The Punjab Government has made the process simple. You can apply from your mobile phone or a computer. Here is the official step by step guide for rahmatcard.punjab.gov.pk.

1. Open your web browser and visit the official portal: rahmatcard.punjab.gov.pk
2. Click the Register button at the top of the page.
3. Enter your 13 digit CNIC number and set a strong password (note it down somewhere safe).
4. Enter the captcha code shown on screen.
5. Log in to your account using your CNIC and password.
6. Click on Application Form and fill in your personal details: name, address, district, family members, and contact number.
7. Upload the required documents (CNIC, death certificate, B Forms, etc.).
8. Review all details carefully, then click Submit.
9. You will receive a confirmation SMS or message saying your application has been received.

Other Ways To Apply

If you cannot use the internet, the Punjab Government offers three more ways to register:

• CM Punjab Rehmat Card Mobile App: Install the official app, sign up with your CNIC, fill the form, and submit.
• Helpline 1077: Call the Zakat and Ushr Department helpline. Trained staff will guide you and can even start your application by phone.
• Zakat and Ushr District Office: Visit your nearest district or tehsil Zakat and Ushr office. Officials will fill the form for you free of cost.

After submitting your form, you can track your application progress anytime. The verification process usually takes 10 to 21 working days depending on the volume of applications in your district.

1. Open rahmatcard.punjab.gov.pk and click Track Status.
2. Enter your 13 digit CNIC number (no dashes, no spaces).
3. Enter the captcha and click Submit.
4. Your status will appear as one of these: Pending, Under Review, Approved, or Rejected.

You can also send your CNIC by SMS to 8171 to receive an eligibility check that links to the program. If your application is approved, you will get an SMS notifying you about payment release and collection method.

To make sure funds reach the truly deserving, every application passes through a multi step verification process:

• PSER database check: Your family’s poverty profile is matched with the Punjab Socio Economic Registry.
• NADRA verification: Your CNIC, widow status, and family tree are confirmed with NADRA.
• Proxy Means Test: The system calculates your poverty score based on living conditions.
• District Zakat Committee approval: The local committee gives final approval based on need and merit.
• Budget allocation: Each district has a population based budget, so applications are ranked accordingly.

Once approved, you do not have to chase agents or middlemen. Payments are released directly to the beneficiary through biometric verified channels:

• Bank account transfer (Bank of Punjab is the main partner).
• Digital wallets such as JazzCash or Easypaisa, where applicable.

• SMS notification confirming payment release.

Many applications get rejected because applicants submit the form before updating their widow status on the NADRA CNIC. Errors like entering the wrong CNIC number, incorrect spelling of the applicant’s name, or uploading blurry and incomplete document images also create verification issues. Another common mistake is forgetting to complete PSER registration before applying for the scheme. Applications submitted from provinces other than Punjab are usually considered ineligible. Some applicants also add children who are not officially registered under the widow’s NADRA family tree, which can lead to disqualification during the verification process.
